I feel like your life experiences can’t go to waste. When you’ve had negative experiences in your life, they’re not going to go unused. So, you can either wallow in them or you can use them for good. I feel like everything I’ve been through in my life is for a purpose.
I’ve bene discipling for two years. I like to meet with them once a week. We talk about their week – their struggles, the ups and downs – and then we go into our bible study. We always end with a prayer. I always ask what I can pray for them for, and I pray with them after.
I've been blessed with one of them for two years, and the struggles she’s been through she's overcome so much. Her faith has grown leaps and bounds. She’s able to walk each day knowing that, yes, there are going to be attacks by the enemy, but thats ok. They know who their warrior is. Im a warrior for them, but our Jesus is the biggest warrior.
I feel like if you don’t want to disciple, maybe you can be discipled. We all need somebody to either pour into or have somebody pour into us, and then that will lead you to want to serve someone else.
My name is Valerie, and I help people love Jesus, learn his ways, and lead others.
