... by grace alone I could be saved.

My parents started taking me to church when I was two years old. My family was very active in the church and it felt like a second home. The summer after I finished 3rd grade, my best friend's mom asked me how I thought you get to Heaven. I told her it was by being really good. She explained to me that no acts could get me there but by grace alone I could be saved. I prayed with her right then to give my heart to the Lord.

I grew up in a Methodist church and was baptized by being sprinkled after I had completed confirmation. I want to be baptized today by submersion because that is how Jesus was baptized and I want to live my life having followed him to the best of my ability. I feel that this is something the Holy Spirit has been urging me to do and I want to be obedient. I also want to be an example to my daughters of how a woman, completely dedicated to Jesus, should live.
